Helping people through bankruptcy
If you’re like most people considering bankruptcy you’re probably wondering about the bankruptcy process.
The bankruptcy process can be very confusing and this is why we have a short video where I explain how the bankruptcy process for Virginia works. In this video you’ll discover…
- How does the bankruptcy process works in Virginia?
- What kind of paperwork do you have to submit?
- How long does it take?
We have a short slide show that explains the bankruptcy process. If you have Microsoft Powerpoint, you can download it here.
The Guide Book PowerPoint Version
If you don’t have Powerpoint you can download a FREE viewer from Microsoft or, alternatively, you can view it in PDF format by clicking on the link below (When you click, give it a few seconds; it takes a while to load or right-click and save it to your computer.)
The slide show talks about the forms we’ll need you to fill in.
Our paralegals will assist you in organizing your information to make the most of your appointment. You may download copies of the forms from the following links:
If you own a business or recently owned a business, you’ll need this form too.
Filling in these forms will take a couple hours. But when you’ve done it, you will have completed the hardest part of the process from your end. After that, the hard work is mostly on me.
You should also get your credit report. You can get one for free at:
experian.com/reportaccess
You may have to type those words into the browser. They know when you copy and paste and they send you somewhere else. That’s because they are required to give you a free report, but they’d much rather you pay. Alternatively you can use this Free Report Link we found with a toll free number where you can request your free report.
(It’s free if you have been turned down for credit in the last 60 days. Most people have been. If you don’t know who turned you down, answer Law Office of Robert Weed. That usually works.)
Filling in these forms will take you a couple hours. But once you’ve done it, you’ve done the hardest part of the whole process from your end. After that, the hard work is on me.
