Meet Robert Weed and listen to him as he explains the Virginia bankruptcy process.
- How does the process of filing bankruptcy work in Virginia?
- What kind of paperwork do you have to submit?
- How long does it take?
We also have a short slide show
that explains the bankruptcy process. If you have Microsoft
Powerpoint, you can download it here.

If you don't have Powerpoint, here is the process in pdf.
(When you click, give it a few seconds; it takes a while to load.)

The slide show talks about the forms we'll need you to fill
in. You may download copies of the forms from those links:
Ownership Checklist (Green)
Financial Picture (Orange)
Warnings (Pink)
Client Questionnaire (Purple)
List of Debts (Yellow)
Then get a free copy of your credit report by typing this in your browser.

You have to type--you can't copy and paste. They are required to offer you a free report, if you have been turned down for credit, but they'd rather you pay. So they make it really hard to pass on to people how to access the free report.
(It's free if you have been turned down for credit in the last 60 days. Most people have been. If you don't know who turned you down, try answering, Law Office of Robert Weed. That often works.)
