Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Lawyer Privacy Policy

We collect the information you submit to us in order to give you legal advice, and in order to prepare papers for you to submit to the bankruptcy court.  We are also required to send the required documents to the bankruptcy trustee who is assigned to your case.

Other than those purposes, we do not share your information with anyone.  The Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct, Rule 1.6,  provides that we shall not reveal information you have sent to us, except as is necessary to do the legal work you have hired us to do.

We store the information you send us, password protected, in a sync.com program. You have a password and can see the documents you have given to us there.  The bankruptcy court requires, CM/ECF POLICY 7 that we keep copies of the papers you sign for three years after your case is over. We keep those electronically.

We do NOT keep paper copies of anything.

Routine Information Collection

All web servers track basic information about their visitors. This information includes, but is not limited to, IP addresses, browser details, timestamps and referring pages.
